Mary Maxine Bell Gauldin Fulcher

October 25, 1943 - March 9, 2023

Mary Maxine Bell Gauldin Fulcher, 79, of Fieldale, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, N.C. She was born Monday, October 25, 1943, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Luther Monroe Bell and Reba Della Warren Bell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 34 years, Vance L. Fulcher, Jr.; a son, Duane Vance Fulcher and brother, Allen Luther Bell.

Maxine loved dancing with the love of her life, singing with her grandkids, spending time with Nancy, going to the beach with her family, going to the mountains to get fudge, and going on adventures with her family. Maxine's family meant absolutely everything to her.

She is known best for her hard work as she owned Sassy Express and worked in trucking almost all of her life. She was of the Baptist faith.

Maxine is survived by her children, Jeff Gauldin, Ginny Owen “Clay Campbell”, Scott Gauldin “Tina”, Lizzy Fulcher “Emily Harrell”, Teresa Griffith, Bruce Fulcher “Linda”; sister, Brenda Boswell; grandchildren, Zachary Gauldin “Michala”, Christopher Owen, Megan Gauldin, Cooper Owen, Colby Owen, Angela Johnston “Jewel”, and Shaun Griffith “Amy”; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Nevaeh, Karleigh, Ellie, Raelynn, Camden; very best friend, Nancy Hudson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel.A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 1:00 pm in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel, with her son, Bruce Fulcher, officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park, Martinsville, Va.Thefamily will receive friends other times at the home of Ginny Owen, 141 Dora Trail, Ridgeway, Va.
