Mary Whitlock Firebaugh

Mary Whitlock Firebaugh, 93, of Roanoke County passed into the presence of Jesus and is rejoicing with her husband of 71 years. She was the daughter of the late Dennis Ralph Whitlock and Blake Hall Whitlock of Shawsville, VA. She was also predeceased by her husband, Leonard Franklin Firebaugh Sr; a brother, Roger Whitlock; a sister, Evelyn Sisson; and a great granddaughter, Cameron Blake Firebaugh.Mary was a Registered Nurse graduate of the Lewis Gale School of Nursing. She was a loving wife and mother who served the Lord Jesus faithfully in her local church all her life, most recently at New Life Christian Ministries in Roanoke, VA.She is survived by her sister, Nellie Jo Sinclair (Fred); two sons, Len Firebaugh (Gwen) of Charlotte, NC and Gary Firebaugh (Joanie) of Roanoke County, VA; 5 grandchildren and spouses and 9 great grandchildren.Funeral services to celebrate and honor her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024 in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Atkinson and Pastor Danny Mead officiating.
