Maurice "Tink" Wilkes

Maurice “Tink” Wilkes, 87, of Blue Ridge passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023. He was a son of the late Lowry Thomas Wilkes and Clara Gillespie Wilkes. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Nancy Louise Thomas Wilkes; a son, Mark Thomas Wilkes; brothers and sisters, Norman and James Wilkes, Ruby Foster, Thelma Walker, Lois Foster and Edith Bird.Surviving him are his children, Steven Wilkes (Drema), Robin Wilkes and Scott Wilkes (Jenny); sister, Doris Wheeler; grandchildren, Landon Wilkes (Lauren), Jonas and Ashby Wilkes; great-grandchildren, Kobe, Kora and Kali Wilkes.The family requests in lieu of flowers to consider donations to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741 in Tink’s memory. A celebration of Tink’s life will be held 12:00 noon Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Lotz Funeral Home, Vinton with Pastor Joel Wegner.
