Maxine Goad Snow

Ms. Maxine Goad Snow, age 88, of Cana, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Waddel Nursing in Galax. She was born on November 16, 1935 in Carroll County to the late Charles and Jane Smith Goad. Ms. Snow retired from Renfro after many years of service. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Shelia Snow (John Tatro); son, Mark Snow (Larnette); grandchildren, Sarah Snow, Kyle Snow, James Tatro; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Snow, Luke Summers, Grayson Snow, Evelyn Summers. In addition to her parents Ms. Snow was preceded in death by sisters, Hattie Sorrick and Polly Busick; brother, Swanson Goad. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 3pm at Epworth Memorial Church in Cana with service conducted by Rev. Dwight Sechrist. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. Moody Funeral Services of Mt. Airy is assisting the family.
