Melissa Sue Willard

Mrs. Melissa Sue Willard, age 57, of Bassett, Virginia passed away Monday, September 2, 2024. She was born in Michigan on May 27, 1967. Melissa was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lou Main and grandmother, G.G. Main. Melissa was a sassy Yankee who loved beach scenery and lighthouses. She enjoyed her coffee and her Pepsi and touched everyone’s heart that met her. Melissa never met a stranger and loved everyone. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. One of her favorite joys was spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling them. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Melissa is survived by one daughter, Julia Marie and son-in-law, Brandon Pacheco of Virginia; two sons, David Keith and adopted daughter-in-law, Mikayla Willard, of Stuart, Virginia, and Erik Claude and daughter-in-law, Adreanna Willard of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Raygan Montgomery, Paiytin Willard, Melody Sue Willard; two sisters, Garri King and Bridgette King; four nephews, Bradley Bristol, Jonathan Cogswell, Christopher Cogswell, Justin Cogswell; two nieces, Samantha Marie and Jaylee King; and best friend, Vickie Patterson.

A memorial service for Mrs. Willard will be held Saturday, September the 14, 2024 at 2:30 P.M. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Hank Daniels. The family will receive friends one half hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
