Melody Beth Jennings

Melody Beth Jennings passed into eternity on January 17, 2025. 

Melody was a special gift from God who was loved dearly by all who knew and cared for her. Her happiest days were spent visiting the duck pond, caring for her baby dolls, and coloring pictures. Melody came to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a young age and loved Him with all of her heart. She enjoyed church and her church family at Calvary Baptist Church in Salem, VA held a special place in her life. 

Melody was welcomed into heaven by her father Pastor Jimmy (James) Jennings, her mother Joyce Jennings, and her sister Angie Jennings Case who went before her. While her brothers, Scott and Jimmy Jennings, her aunt Doris Mandera, her nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends Wayne and Julie Clark will miss her presence on earth, they rejoice that she is free from her earthly limitations and worshiping at the feet of Jesus. 

A celebration of life for Melody will be held at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 12:00 pm.

The family would like to express deep gratitude to all who helped care for Melody, especially to the staff at Ruth's Home in Portsmouth, VA, Salem Health and Rehabilitation, and Good Samaritan Hospice.
