Meredith Jo Reffett

Meredith Jo Reffett, 54, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away Friday, September 11, 2026. She was born February 5, 1972, in Topeka, Kansas, to the late Richard L. Reffett and Betty Jo Hendren Reffett.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Chandler Reffett; granddaughter, Emberly Joy Reffett; and brother, Richard L. “Richie” Reffett.

After graduating from high school, Meredith devoted 35 years to being a loving wife to David, raising their family and building a beautiful life together. As a dedicated homemaker, she found joy in crafting, cooking, and canning, always making sure the family was well-cared for and surrounded by love. Her children will always remember the countless hours they shared playing board games and making memories. Meredith was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother who left an indelible print on the hearts of her family. Her legacy of love and kindness will forever be remembered by everyone who was blessed to know her.

She is survived by her loving husband, David; daughter, Ali Hylton (Adam), special daughter, Brianna Glenn; son, Justin Reffett (Casey); sister, Robin Richardson (Bill); grandchildren, Asher Hylton, Aurora Reffett, Audrey Hylton, Orion Reffett, Rowan Reffett, Aspyn Hylton, Atlas Reffett, Harper Williams; special friends, the Harter family; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Gospel Road Baptist Church, 4305 Oak Level Road, Bassett, Virginia, with Pastor Bill Richardson officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends at 241 Maple Drive, Collinsville, VA 24078.
