Michael Jesse Nichols

Michael Jesse Nichols, 72 of Huddleston, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at his residence. He was born on Friday, February 5, 1954 in Bedford County, a son of the late Arzie William Nichols and Ruth Amy Conner Nichols

He was an employee of Cox Sawmill & Nichols Sawmill.

He is survived by his brother, J. W. Nichols; sisters, Delories "Dee" Galliher, Linda N. Roach, Lorena N. MaClanahan; half-sister, Lela Peters as well as many nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 11 AM on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston and a memorial service will follow at 12 noon in the chapel with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating.
