Michael Lee Beckner
Michael Lee Beckner, Sr., age 44, of Ringgold, Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home on April 20, 2026.
Mr. Beckner was born in Richmond, Virginia, on September 23, 1981. He was the son of Clarence Beckner and Debra Kreger, and was married to Peggy Beckner, who survives.
Michael was an employee at DCC teaching mechanical maintenance; he loved his job. He had many interests as well that included, fishing and hunting with his best friend, Glenn “Tank” Strickland. He was the most passionate about his love of motorcycles and being a part of the Scorpion Motorcycle Club.
Mr. Beckner is survived by his wife of 25 years, Peggy; his son, Michael Lee Beckner, Jr.; father, Clarence Beckner; mother, Debra Kreger and step-father Jimmie; mother-in-law, Wanda Barksdale; sister-in-law, Wendy Carter; special sister, Rebecca Yeatts; nephews, James Stuller and Steven Carter; along with aunts, uncles, and many Scorpion brothers.
Michael is predeceased in death by his father-in-law, Winston Barksdale; brothers-in-law, Tom Herring and Kenneth Williams; grandparents, Henry Robertson and Margie Roark; and grandparents, Wayne and Elaine Dawson.
A memorial service for Mr. Beckner will be conducted on Sunday, April 26th, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Norris Funeral Services – West End Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Davis officiating. A visitation for Michael will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
