Michael (Mickey) David Shelor

We are very saddened to announce the passing of Michael David Shelor (Mickey). He was the son of Barbara Smith Shelor Crawford and Steve (Tom) Shelor. He was born on March 25, 1969. He passed at Highland Ridge Rehab and Nursing in Dublin, on January 24, 2024, at the age of 54. Mickey had a great sense of humor. He was a very determined young man that faced a lot of adversity and health issues. He is preceded in death by his mother, by only 5 days, and his father who passed when Mickey was only 4 years old. Also preceded by a brother, Timothy John Shelor, and a sister, Donna Shelor. Mickey was a quiet loving young man who was loved by all that knew him. We could make a suggestion to him, and his by word was “that would be good” He was a painter by trade, employed by Wal-Mart before his diabetes became a big problem. He is survived by his brothers, Anthony (Tony) Crawford (Erin), Jason Crawford; a niece, Emily Crawford; uncle, Hampton Smith (Janice); aunts, Lovedia Hubbard (Doug), Wanda Eller (Johnny), and many cousins and friends. Mickey is going to be missed by all those who loved him so much! A graveside service and Celebration of Life will be held at the Smith Family Cemetery in Norris Run (Montgomery County) on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. All are welcome.
