Michael "Randy" Peele

Michael “Randy” Peele, 74, of Elkin, North Carolina passed away October 1, 2026. Born August 12, 1952, to the late Paul William and Joyce Stanley Peele. Randy was a giving, selfless, and humble man to the ones he loved. Randy was incredibly intelligent, graduating top of his class at Surry Central and attended NC State University. He held an unlimited electrical license in North Carolina, an accomplishment very few people in his profession attain. In his free time, Randy enjoyed long range shooting, and competed in several state competitions, often times winning. He loved travelling cross country to hunt and fish with his friends. Randy was a friend to all and really exemplified what it means to be a Christian by his interactions with people everyday. Left to cherish and honor is memory is his loving wife, Jean Stanley Peele; daughters and son-in-law, Michelle Peele Burchette and Kavin; and Susan Diane Peele; grandchildren, Kenly Kernen and Chris, and Aathan Hauser; great grandchild, Callaway Kernen; as well as Freddie Snow and wife, Kathy, who was more thought of as a brother, than his best friend. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, James Peele; and father and mother-in-law, Howard Stanley and June. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Fairview Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Fairview Baptist Church. Inurnment will follow in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. In honor of Randy, the family encourages all men to not wear a tie to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care at P.O.
