Mildred Marie Dowdy, 92 of Roanoke County was called to be with God on Monday, August 29, 2022. Born in Mercer County, WV she graduated from Bramwell High School in 1948. She married her elementary school sweethart, Bernard Dowdy in 1951.She was predeceased by her husband, her elder brothers Robert and William, and her youger sister Helen. She was a devoted navy wife and a mother to two sons, Bernard, Jr. and David who survive her.Services will be private.
