Nancy Hubbard

January 1, 1942 - August 27, 2024

Mrs. Nancy Carol Persinger Hubbard, age 82, of Covington, departed this earthly home on August 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Benjamin L. Hubbard, Sr. whom she was married to for sixty-five years and worked alongside of him in business for sixty years.
Mrs. Hubbard was born January 1, 1942 to the late Stanley E. Persinger and Nancy Elizabeth Bailey Persinger. Other than her husband and parents, Mrs. Hubbard was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother, Martha Carter, Clara Kellison, Jane Bartley, Dorothy Rowsey and James Persinger.
Mrs. Hubbard accepted the call of God to preach at the age of fifteen and it was that path that would also lead her to the love of her life. In addition to being a business owner, mother and famer, she would take on the role of pastor with the Church of God of Prophecy where she remained until her death. Nancy vowed that she was not done preaching yet and continued to minister the gospel of Christ even while in the hospital for well over a month.
Mrs. Hubbard enjoyed raising plants, flowers, farming, family and holidays where she got to show her amazing cooking skills to family and friends. Most of all she put God first and her faith was unwavering and showed in everything she did. Nancy would also put those cooking skills to good use to raise money for missions and also for fundraisers for the sick. She was a very humble and compassionate woman who put others needs before her own.
Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Ben Hubbard, Jr. (Deniece), Timmy Hubbard; one daughter, Anita Simmons (Doug); eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one great- great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 31, 2024, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.
