Nancy Moore Vaughan

Nancy Moore Vaughan, 82, of Axton, Virginia, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026. She was born on March 11, 1944, in Franklin County, Virginia, to the late Charlie Leonard Moore and Cosie Monarie Cruise. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wayne Vaughan; brothers; Troy Moore, Toy Moore, Sam Moore, and Hoss Moore; sisters, Isabelle Moore and Ruby Moore Kidd; grandson, Richard Dustin Vaughn; and great grandson, Jayden Allen Reed.

Nancy was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of the Living God. She loved to sing, listen to music, get her hair done, but what she loved the most was spending time with family, and spoiling her grandchildren and fur babies

She is survived by her children, Elizabeth “Ann” Hundley, Darrell Franklin Vaughan, and Susan Leigh Mize; grandchildren, Nikki Minter (Gene), Samantha Reed (Allen), Winter Mize (Ian), David Ray Hundley, Jerry Cooke, Harrison Vaughan, and Zoe Vaughan; great grandchildren, Hanna Minter, Lana Reed, and Jasper Hundley; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a Graveside service on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 2:00PM, Henry Memorial Park.
