Nancy Pickrel Corbin

Nancy Pickrel Corbin, of Blairs, Virginia passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2026, while a patient of Centra Lynchburg General Hospital, Lynchburg, VA. She was born on January 15, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Jack L. Pickrel and the late Bea Dodd Pickrel. She was married to the late William A. Corbin.

Nancy was of the Christian faith and worked as the Director of Social Services at Gretna Healthcare, Gretna, Virginia. She had a great personality and was always a great friend. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family.

Surviving is her son, William H. “Billy” Crawford (Cindy) of Danville; a brother, Jack L. Pickrel of Blairs; nephew, Nicholas Pickrel (Sarah) of Danville; a grandson, Justin Foster (Samantha) of Ruffin, NC and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the West End Chapel of Norris Funeral Services, 511 Church Ave., Danville at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 26, 2026, officiated by Pastor Scott Randlett. A visitation of friends and family will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. also at the West End Chapel of Norris Funeral Services.
