Nathan Gray Burcham

Mr. Nathan Gray Burcham, 65, of Cana, VA, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, August 27, 2026. Mr. Burcham was born January 26, 1961, in Galax, VA, to the late Nelson Gray and Paula Jeanette Stoneman Burcham. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, sibling, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Burcham was a longtime truck driver until his retirement. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 37 years, Martha Sue Burcham; his stepdaughter, Chanda Stevens; his stepgrandchildren, Dustin Stevens and Jayden Sawyers; his great-stepgrandchildren, Lillie Stevens and Grayson Stevens; his sisters and brother-in-law, Lisa and Barry Waller and Trish Edwards; his brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Jackie Burcham; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Oakland United Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Darren Brannock officiating. Per Mr. Burcham’s request, there will not be any formal visitation. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
