Nelson Harris

Nelson Harris, 68, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Pittsylvania County on January 31, 1954 to the late Curtis and Jenelle Price Harris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Curtis Harris, Jr. and Dorsey Lee Harris. He loved to fish and mow grass, and he was a good handyman. Nelson is survived by his wife, Dora Mahan Harris; step-son, Clyde Mahan; sister, Rosetta Harris; brother, Randy Harris; and step-grandchildren, Jaden, Javon, Jonah Mahan; half-sister, Emma Hubbard; and half-brother, Calvin Anderson. His memorial service will be Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, with visitation 30 minutes prior to the service.
