Nicholas Jacob Baker

Nicholas Jacob Baker, 91, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Nicholas was born in New Jersey, on May 6, 1933 to the late Margaret Yekel Baker and the late Carl Baker. He was predeceased by his loving wife of many years, Mrs. Mary Ann Nemeth Baker.

Nicholas was of the Christian faith, and a member of Concord Church in Chatham, VA. He worked for many years as a lineman foreman for Jersey Central Power & Light previous to his retirement.

Nicholas is survived by a daughter; Cheryl Housman and husband Ronald of Chatham, VA; a son; Thomas “Tom” Baker and wife Karen of Chatham, VA; a sister; Faith Stasyshyn of New Jersey; a brother; Bob Baker of Florida; four grandchildren; Trisha Cisternino, Kevin Baker (Amanda), Ambre Cronce (Bucky), and Cherish Cornett (Willie); and seven great grandchildren.

The family will hold a private celebration of life service at a later date.
