Norma Jean Fralin

April 15, 1942 - November 11, 2022

Norma Jean Fralin, age 80, of Union Hall, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022. She was born April, 15, 1942 in the Brushy Hill area of Franklin County, the daughter of the late Lou Anna Smith Thurman and Walter P. Thurman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Fralin, son, Frankie D. Fralin, sister, Frances Eubank, best friends, Virginia Smith and Geraldine Altice. Norma Jean is survived by her grandson, Lucas Fralin, great-grandson, Dylan Fralin, brother, George “GW” Thurman (Judy Young), best friends, Lena Smith, Shelby Brooks, Sandy Jones, Roger Perdue, Mildred Rigney and George Morrison. She retired from PlyGem and was a faithful member of Town Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Norma Jean never met a stranger. Funeral services will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2022 with Elder Zack Byrd and Elder Mark Terry officiating. Interment will follow in the Fralin Family Cemetery. All are invited to Norma Jeans home following the burial. Her family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
