Oscar "Junior" King

Oscar “Junior” King, 74 of Salem went home to be with the Lord June 4, 2026.

Junior’s friends and family will remember him as an original. He never met a stranger and always had a smile to offer. He was fun-loving and enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and NASCAR. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and helping others. Junior was a gifted carpenter and could fix about anything.

Junior is survived by his wife Belinda, his daughter Tina Carroll and husband Ted and two grandchildren Sierra Smith and David King. He is also survived by his brothers George and Roger and sisters Liddy and Linda. He was preceded in death by his son, David King of Salem; his brothers Bobby Lee, Preston, Robert, and Sanford and sisters Jane, Lucille, Irene, Lois, and Elois; and his parents Oscar Robert King and Emma Lee Pruitt King.

A celebration of life honoring Junior will be held on a future date. More information will be shared once plans are finalized.

Visitation will be held at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem on Monday, June 8 between 5-7 PM.
