Patricia Tucker

Patricia C. Tucker, age 68, of Covington, Virgina passed away on Wednesday, July10, 2024 at the home of her daughter.
She was born July 25, 1955 in Washington DC to the late William Andrew Cranford and Christine Childs Smith. She worked retail for Rose’s in Covington and once that closed down, she became a caregiver. She loved gardening, camping, going to the beach, coaching cheerleading and most of all, loved her grandchildren and children endlessly. She helped with the citizens police academy and the neighborhood watch program. Patricia never met a stranger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father, James Smith and grandson, Carter Wickline.
She is survived by a daughter, Christy Snead Wickline (Chad) of Clifton Forge; a son, Michael Snead of Virginia Beach; a sister, Sandy Caldwell (Bill) of Covington; two brothers, Richard Cranford (Virginia) and James Smith both of Manassas; six grandchildren, Kierstin Mundy (Jacob Booze), Talan McGann, Trent Snead, Rylee Snead, Summer Snead and Maddox Wickline; two nephews, Nolan Caldwell (Kelly) and Jeremy Cranford (Christie); and two nieces, Carrie Cranford and Shannon Daugherty (Patrick); special friends, Kathy Dobson, Susan Scott Crowder, Marsha Tucker, Addyson Burkholder and her friends at Roses.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Mr. Chris Fisher and Pastor Billy Price officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery, Covington. Pallbearers will be Chad Wickline, Jacob Stone, Jacob Booze, Jack Gerber, Cason Taylor, and John Stone. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:30PM until 7:30PM at Nicely Funeral Home.
