Patricia Wade Goolsby

Patricia Wade Goolsby, 73, of Madison Heights, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Anne Womack, stepfather, Pete Womack, and was also preceded in death by her brother, Greg Womack.

Pat graduated from Sweet Briar College in 1975 and dedicated the next 30 years to educating children in Amherst County. Pat enjoyed watching soap operas, reading romance novels, jig-saw puzzles, and most of all the many family vacations to Myrtle Beach. Pat was also a member of Randolph Memorial Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gary Michael Goolsby; a daughter, Laura Cooke (William); a son, Brian Goolsby (Rachel); four grandchildren, Ethan, Jada, Brayden and Mila; two sisters, Sharon Davis and Ronda Campbell; a sister-in-law, Renee Womack; a brother-in-law, Alex Goolsby (Missy); and special friends, Beck and Danny Cash.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 21, 2026 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Derick Hamby officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
