Patrick K. Stanley

Patrick K. Stanley, 55, of Bassett passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Sovah Health Martinsville. He was born on November 25, 1967 in Henry County to Marjorie Epling Richards and the late Ben K. Stanley. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by step-father, Joe C. Richards; sister, Betsy Robbins Shields.

Patrick was a Board Member of Patrick Henry Saddle Club and retired member of Old Dominion Cloggers. He assisted with a lot of the maintenance at the Saddle Club and also maintained the ring during horse shows. He was also a Metal Fabricator and Cars enthusiast. Patrick retired from V-Dot in October 2022 with 30 years of service.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Laura L. Stanley; sister, Becky Cox (Garry); mother, Marjorie Epling Richards; fur baby, Ellie Mae; feathered baby, Birdie Lee; mother-in-law, Barbara A. Lewis; father-in-law, Bobby R. Lewis; sister-in-law, Lisa L. Roberts (Curry); nieces, Vivian Roberts and Victoria Shields; and nephew, Matthew Shields.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 21 2023, at 6:00 PM at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 8:00PM.
