Paul Glenn Hudnall, 71, of Madison Heights, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024 surrounded by his loving wife, daughter and his sister-in-law, Nan.Born on November 9, 1952, he was the son of the late Richard G. Hudnall and Mary K. Hudnall. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Mark A. Hudnall; and two sisters, Rita H. Midgley and Janet H. Berry. Paul graduated from Amherst County High School and went to work at Grant E. Key after graduation. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps from 1972-1976 where he proudly served with the Marine Corps Helicopter Squadron HMX-1, or Marine One, as it’s called when the President is on board. After his service was complete, Paul was employed at Montague-Betts from 1976 until they closed in 1992 and from there went to Lynchburg Steel until he retired in December 2015. More than anything, he loved target shooting at Izaak Walton, especially with his daughter Lindsay. They spent many hours target shooting and many hours reloading their ammo so they could go again. He was a member of the NRA and Izaak Walton League of Lynchburg. Paul loved flying and received his pilot license while he was in the service. He spent many hours over the years in the air, which was a passion he passed along to his daughter. He loved going to the beach and tending to his garden year after year. He could fix almost anything and was ready to help any of the neighbors at any time, as he would say “but on our road, that’s what we do for each other”.He is survived by his wife, Carole Hudnall; daughter, Lindsay Hudnall; brothers, Dennis R.
