Paul Joseph Donley

Paul Joseph Donley, 68, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away on October 28, 2026, at Stanleytown Health & Rehab. He was born April 13, 1958, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Billy Jones Donley, Sr., and Nellie Ruth Compton Donley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Ashby, Vickie Hammill, and Lucy Brady.

Paul proudly served in the United States Army during peacetime, spending five years as a truck driver instructor. He continued his career in transportation, retiring after 46 years of truck driving.

He was of the Baptist faith. He and his wife, Betsy, shared a little over ten years of marriage, building a life together filled with love, companionship, and cherished memories. Their time together held a special place in his life.

He is survived by his wife, Betsy Knight Donley; daughter, Hanna Donley; son, Lucas Donley; stepdaughter, Kristy Sharpe (Stewart); stepson, Brandon Martin (Ashley); brothers, Jay Donley (Rachel) and Michael Donley; and grandchildren, Elyse Holland, Josiah Donley, Owen Sharpe, Weston Sharpe, and Grayson Sharpe; other family member and friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 30, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Service - Martinsville Chapel.
