Paula Craft Sizemore

June 2, 1955 - March 16, 2025

Paula Craft Sizemore, a beacon of faith and love, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025, at her home in Pembroke, Virginia, where she proudly resided since 2006. Paula was born on June 2, 1955, in Huntsville, Alabama, to Ray Harold Craft Sr. and Pauline Fenn Craft, who instilled in her the values of faith and family.

Paula's journey through life was marked by her deep commitment to her family, faith, and community. She shared a beautiful and enduring love with her devoted husband, Rick Sizemore. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Shea and Michele Sizemore. Shea and his wife Lile blessed them with two joyful grandchildren, Maks and Frances. Paula cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, and above all, she instilled in her family the beauty of life and the values of kindness and integrity.

Paula's passion for education and dedication to nurturing young minds were evident in her work. She earned a Master's Degree, which laid the foundation for a career in education with multiple secondary schools and technical training with Deloitte International, where she influenced countless lives. Her involvement in church life was profound, with active participation in Our Refuge Christian Fellowship and Dwelling Place Christian Fellowship. Paula's commitment to service did not end there; she co-founded Eagle's Nest Ministry and served as a teacher in their ministry training program. Alongside her husband, Paula was a co-owner of Kairos Wilderness Resort, where her love for nature and people came together in a place of respite and adventure.

Paula's brothers, Harold and Stanley Craft, and their wives, Gayle and Vickie, remember her as a pillar of strength and love within the family. Her numerous nieces and nephews will carry forward the wisdom and encouragement she generously imparted and will miss their Aunt Paula's support in every school fundraiser they ever had.

Those who knew Paula would describe her as a woman of unwavering faith, boundless love, sage wisdom, and a straight shooter when asked for her advice. She spoke with confidence, authority, and love, and her presence was a source of comfort and inspiration to all. She approached life's challenges with grace and emerged from them with even greater fortitude. Paula's influence extended beyond her immediate circle, touching the lives of many through her teaching, ministry, and personal interactions.

Shea and Michele will remember her as the loudest parent in the stands, horse show mom extraordinaire, and avid reader who passed on her love of books to a couple of nerds. She was highly competitive in all things from sports to Hearts and a rabid Alabama fan who finished every game, win or lose, with "Roll Tide."

Paula's life is a story that will be recounted with admiration and will continue to inspire generations to come. There will be no services held for Paula at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in her memory to Eagle's Nest Ministry (PO Box 63 Pembroke, VA 24136) to allow her legacy to thrive and the gospel to continue to be preached. A guestbook is available to send condolences to the family by visiting www.kendallfuneralhome.com. The staff of Kendall Funeral Home is honored to serve the Sizemore family.
