Peggy Jean Franklin
Peggy Jean Franklin, 52, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Friday, June 20, 2025. She was born September 30, 1972, in Highpoint, North Carolina was raised by Ralph Johnson and the late Etheline Johnson.
Peggy was of the Christian faith and employed for over ten years at West Window and she delivered papers for Martinsville Bulletin for more than three years. Peggy also spent several years as a CNA at Harmony Hall. She was known by many as the queen of eating mac and cheese which was her absolute favorite dish. She loved the outdoors, especially camping and taking peaceful nature walks. Peggy never met a stranger, she loved meeting new and interesting people, cooking delicious meals, and shopping for little things that brought her joy. Most of all, she loved spending time with her fiance, Kenneth and she cherished the memories of her beloved fur baby, Scooby, who passed on before her. Her warmth and love for life touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Peggy is survived by her fiance’, Kenneth Randolph Brinkley; sons, Chris Brinkley (Shelly), Dewayne Franklin, Joshua Franklin, and Daniel Franklin; sisters, Sherry Johnson and Deana Johnson; brother, Ronnie Johnson; and life long friend, Becky Byrd.
