Peggy Simpson Dominick Zeigler

Peggy Ann Simpson Aron Dominick Zeigler February 20, 1932 - September 22, 2026 Peggy was born in Piedmont, SC on February 20, 1932 to James I. Simpson and Anna Lou Williams Simpson. She attended Converse College and was a graduate of Averett College in Danville, Va.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother James I. Simpson, Jr. and her sister, Nell S. Antinori and her former husbands, Hayne W. Dominick and Alvan M. Aron.

She is survived by her two sons, A. Macauley Aron, Jr. (Catharine) and Scott S. Aron (Debbie), two grandsons Bradford M. Aron and Scott S. Aron, Jr. (Deanna), granddaughter Ashley Harris (Danny) and great grandson Gavyn Harris. She is also survived by her long time friend and confident, Dr. R. Kirby Godsey.

Peggy loved to play tennis and to entertain and be entertained. There was always room for one more person at her table. She loved to travel (especially with family), study family ancestry and play slot machines. She lost a few dollars here and there she said, but claimed she always came out ahead. She published a book (Those Wonderful Williams) in 1985 of her family genealogy which she dedicated to her two sons. Peggy cherished the many deep friendships that she was fortunate to have during her long and happy life.

The last years of her life were at Abbotswood at Irving Park. Peggy was a very spiritual person and spent time reading her Bible which reinforced her strong beliefs. She continued to develop wonderful friendships at Abbotswood and was loved by its staff.

A private family graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 26 in Martinsville, Va. Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Martinsville, Virginia, is serving the family.
