Polly "Brannock" Marie Holder

Mrs. Polly Marie Brannock Holder, age 91 of Mount Airy, passed away on Friday morning, June 23, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Holder was born August 11, 1931, in Surry County to the late James Walter and Emma Blanche Brown Brannock. Polly was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne Holder Talley and Steve; granddaughter, Engle Talley Cook and James; a brother, Walter “Lewis” Brannock; several nieces and nephews; and her special dog, Tess. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holder was preceded in death by her husband, Marvie Lee Holder, two sisters, Cora Lee Brannock, Emma Brannock McBride; three brothers, George Franklin Brannock, Jimmy Loville. Brannock, James “Harry” Brannock. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Reverend Kevin Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Moody Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 1427 Edgewood Drive, Suite 101, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030.
