Polly U. Dunn

Polly U. Dunn, 93, of Ridgeway, VA passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection. She was born on July 15, 1930, in Endicott, VA to the late James Montaque Underwood and Effie Jones Underwood. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John W. Dunn, Sr.; stepdaughter, Dara Simpson; siblings, Hubert Underwood, Buford Underwood, and Betty Jane Anderson.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ridgeway and retired from W. M. Bassett Furniture with over forty years of service.

Surviving are her sons, John Dunn (Janice), and Monte Underwood (Chris); stepdaughter, Dana Mitchell; sister, Vivian U. Thomas; grandchildren, Lee Cassell, and Shannon Hale; great-grandchildren, Codie Marion (Steve) and Cheyanne Cassell; three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville, VA. Funeral service will be following at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor David Deisher officiating. Burial will follow the service at Roselawn Burial Park.
