Rachel Flora Barnhart

Rachel Flora Barnhart, age 103 of Roanoke, formerly of Boones Mill, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024 at her residence, Park Oak Grove.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, Jonas and Opel Flora; her husband, Walter Barnhart; two daughters, Sue Webster and Betty Crum; and her son-in-law, Emory Crum.

She is survived by her three granddaughters, Karen Williams (Jeff), Julie Wood (Ray Wolfe), Joanna Brown (Gibson); four great-grandchildren, Josh Brubaker (Susan), Zach Brubaker (Jessica), Rachel Brown (Lex Santisteban), and Max Brown; five great-great grandchildren, Jayden, Logan, Trent, Avery and Knox Brubaker.

Rachel was a kind, wonderful woman who loved her family deeply. In turn, they all truly adored her and are very blessed to have had her so long. She will be greatly missed.

Private graveside services will be held at Antioch Church of the Brethren. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
