Rachel Jeanie Beard
Rachel Beard, 33, of Roanoke, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Steven Donald Beard and Margaret Ann Beard; and her maternal grandfather, James Irvin Craft.
Rachel was a beautiful soul with a gentle heart and a sweetness that touched everyone who knew her. She was kind to everyone she met and had a special way of making others feel loved and cared for. Her beautiful spirit, compassion, and the love she so freely shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Rachel was truly beautiful inside and out, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Left to cherish Rachel’s memory are her beloved daughters, Maya Jolie and Luca Isabella; her significant other, Ozi Peralta; her mother, Hope Craft; her father, Ron Beard (Tasha); her grandmother, B.J. Craft; her sister, Carlie Beard (Shawn); her brother, Seth Beard (Kayla); her nieces, Scarlett, Layla, and Alayna; and her soon-to-be nephew, a baby boy Beard, who is expected in November. She is also survived by her aunts, Misty Eubank, Cindala Craft (Thomas), and Suzanne Puckett; her uncles, Richard Eubank and Bob Puckett; her special friends, Sherrie Spradlin, Cierra Spradlin, Ciara Gravett, Taylor Fitzgerald, and Brittany Adkins; and numerous cousins, family members, and friends who were so special to Rachel.
A celebration of Rachel’s life is being planned and will be held in the near future. Details will be announced when arrangements are finalized.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Rachel’s memory are invited to contribute to the GoFundMe established in her name. Donations will go toward supporting her daughters and helping carry Rachel’s love and legacy forward. The family deeply appreciates your prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
Rachel’s love and kindness left an imprint on so many lives. Though her time here was far too short, the love she gave and the beautiful memories she created will live on through her daughters, her family, and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
