Rachel Largen

Rachel Reynolds Largen, 87, of Bassett passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Stanleytown Rehab Center. She was born January 19, 1936, in Patrick Springs, Virginia to the late Rufus Reynolds and Ella Purdy Reynolds.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arless Largen; her son, Arless “Buster” Largen; sisters, Eva Hill, and Lillian Morrison; and brothers, Estridge Reynolds, Harry Reynolds, Alton Reynolds, Otis Reynolds, Clarence Reynolds.

She attended Life Church. She enjoyed cooking shows, gardening, had a green thumb, and loved gospel music.

Rachel is survived by her daughters, Carol Sowder (James), Loretta Alvarado (Jose), and Susan Largen; sister Irene Ishmeal; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday, March 9, 2023, at 10:30 A. M., at Life Church, 200 Whitby Terrace, Fieldale, Virginia with Pastor Dennis Cline officiating with visitation thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Reynolds Family Cemetery on Salem Church Road in Patrick Springs, Virginia
