Ralph Lawrence Nixon

Ralph Lawrence Nixon, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away on May 8th, 2024, at the age of 56, after courageously battling a long illness. Born on July 14th, 1967, Ralph's enthusiasm for life and unyielding spirit touched everyone he met.

Ralph is survived by his devoted wife, Melanie Nixon, who stood by him with unwavering support during his illness. He was a loving father to Jamie (and Frank Tabshey), Marc Nixon, Cortney (and Chad Williams), Michael (and Kristin Moscariello), Tyler (and Molly Moscariello), and stepdaughter Christel Crownshaw. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Ava and Olivia Tabshey, Mason and Nathan Williams, and step-granddaughter Fiona Maksuti, who brought immense joy to his life in later years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Nixon Jr., his brother, Christopher Nixon, his best friend Russ Hanlin, and is survived by his mother, Johanne Nixon, who instilled in him the values of kindness and perseverance. Ralph also leaves behind his siblings, Patti (and Chipper Johnson), Marie (and Karen Nixon), and Kelly Nixon, along with several nieces and nephews who will cherish his wisdom and the warmth of his laughter.

Ralph was deeply dedicated to his family, a man whose veins ran with Nixon blood, always putting his loved ones first in every aspect of his life.

A celebration of Ralph's life will be held on May 13, 2024, at Bassett Funeral Home Services off of Fairystone Park Highway, where friends and family are invited to share stories and honor the memory of a remarkable man.
