Raymond Arthur Moyer

Raymond Arthur Moyer, Sr., 77, of Vinton, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026.

Born July 5, 1948 to the late Raymond and Martha Moyer, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Larry and Michael Moyer.

Raymond was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and deeply honored his service to his country. He loved sharing stories from his time in the Navy with anyone who would listen, and his pride in serving was evident to all who knew him. Raymond was also a long-time member of Harvest Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Raymond Moyer, Jr. (Vicky); his daughter, JoAnne Moyer; his sister, Tammy Moyer Smith; his special friend, Rose Tucker, and her sons, Philip, Geoffrey, and Scott Tucker; along with numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who will miss him dearly.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Lotz Roanoke, 1001 Franklin Road. A service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Butch Hammed   officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, Virginia, with full military honors.
