Reba Hairston

Reba Michelle Spencer Hairston, 56, of Martinsville, VA transitioned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at the home of her mother. She was born February 27, 1968 in Martinsville, VA the daughter of Frances Moss Spencer and the late Bruce Spencer.

She was a graduate of George Washington Carver High School and was disabled from Young-Williams.

"Chelle" as she was affectionately called was a member of Rebirth Ministries where she served on the Pastor's Aide ministry.

She is survived by her husband, Nickie F, Hairston, of Martinsville, VA; her mother, Frances Spencer, of Martinsville, VA; one son, Keaton Spencer, of Greensboro, NC; two brothers, Ray Spencer, of Collinsville, VA; and Dwain Spencer, of Richmond, VA; two step-daughters, Ciara and Catice Johnson, both of Greensboro, NC; one step-son, Naquias Johnson, of Collinsville, VA; four grandchildren, Khalil, Kinston, Kam'ron and Karlie Spencer, all of Greensboro, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 1:00 PM and the Pentecostal Assembly Building 980 Carver Road, Martinsville, VA with Elder Justin Scott Lucas, officiating.  Burial will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the church one half hour prior to the funeral and will be at the home of her mother, 574 Trott Circle, Martinsville, VA at other times.  A public viewing will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Hines Funeral Services.
