Rebecca "Becky" Rhodes Howerton

Rebecca "Becky" Rhodes Howerton, 73, of Roanoke passed away Monday, May 13th 2024. She was the daughter of the late Eugene Donald "Dusty" Rhodes and Catherine Dorothy Cunningham Rhodes. In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by sister, Betty Rhodes.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ronald Wade Howerton, sister Lisa Kelley Hannabass, brother-in-law Kirk Hannabass. Brother-in-law, Michael Howerton and wife Pam. Several nieces and nephews, Mary Switzer, and husband Gene, Michael Aldridge, and Wife Iris, Catie Kelley, Dustin Dean, and husband Timothy, Heidi and Johnathan Grooms, and numerous great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind two special friends, Cara Coates, and Lorena Garlic. With many other special family members and friends.

Rebecca worked at Richfield living for 40 years as a pca and leaves behind many colleagues who will miss her greatly. Rebecca was a kind, loving, caring individual to anyone who got to meet her. She loved her family tremendously, and also had a great love for Care Bears, birthday cards, quarters, and crocheting. Her family describes her as a special blessing from God with a heart full of love to give out.

A memorial service celebrating Rebecca's life will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, May 21st, 2024 at Exalted Church, 8277 Sanderson Dr, Roanoke Va, 24019 with Pastor Jim Asberry officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that all donations being made go directly to Exalted Church in memory of Rebecca.
