Regelio Sanchez Munoz
Con el corazón lleno de dolor pero también de gratitud por su vida, la familia Sánchez anuncia el fallecimiento de Rogelio Sánchez Muñoz, quien partió en paz el 2 de junio de 2025 en Danville, Virginia, a los 72 años.
Rogelio nació en Nayarit, México, el 21 de febrero de 1953, hijo de Francisco Sánchez y Guadalupe Muñoz. A los 20 años emigró a los Estados Unidos en busca de un mejor futuro, y aquí sembró los frutos de una vida llena de trabajo, sacrificio y amor por su familia.
Vivió sus últimos 20 años en Chatham, Virginia, donde se convirtió en el corazón de su hogar. Trabajó en la construcción, pero su verdadera obra fue su familia. Fue un hombre alegre, chistoso, amoroso y siempre considerado. Con solo una frase, “¿Hacemos un pollito asado?”, Rogelio unía a todos a su alrededor, recordándonos que los momentos simples compartidos en familia son los más valiosos.
Amaba el café, las risas sinceras y la compañía de sus seres queridos. Su casa siempre fue un refugio, especialmente para sus nietos, quienes encontraban en él consuelo y ternura incluso en tiempos difíciles. Fue el pegamento de la familia y su pérdida deja un vacío inmenso, pero también un legado de amor que perdurará por generaciones.
Le sobreviven su esposa y compañera de vida, María del Carmen Sánchez, sus hijas: Adriana Sánchez, Janeth Sánchez (esposo Cristofer Lemus), y Erika Delgado (esposo Eduardo Delgado); sus nietos: Anthony Sánchez (esposa Elizabeth Gibson), Brianna Sánchez, Alfredo Pinto, Marlene Sánchez, Mía Delgado, Mateo Delgado y Valeria Sánchez; y su bisnieto Adrián Barahona.
También deja atrás a sus queridos hermanos: Francisco Sánchez, Virginia Sánchez y Felicitas Murillo, quienes hoy lloran su partida junto a la familia.
Rogelio se une en descanso con sus hermanos ya fallecidos: Jesús Sánchez, Cristina Sánchez, Julia Sánchez e Issa Sánchez.
With hearts full of sorrow but also gratitude for his life, the Sánchez family announces the passing of Rogelio Sánchez Muñoz, who passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025, in Danville, Virginia, at the age of 72.
Rogelio was born in Nayarit, Mexico, on February 21, 1953, to Francisco Sánchez and Guadalupe Muñoz. At the age of 20, he emigrated to the United States in search of a better future, and here he reaped the fruits of a life filled with hard work, sacrifice, and love for his family.
He lived his last 20 years in Chatham, Virginia, where he became the heart of his home. He worked in construction, but his true life was his family. He was a joyful, funny, loving, and always thoughtful man. With just a simple phrase, "Shall we have a roast chicken?", Rogelio united everyone around him, reminding us that simple moments shared as a family are the most precious.
He loved coffee, genuine laughter, and the company of his loved ones. His home was always a refuge, especially for his grandchildren, who found comfort and tenderness in him even in difficult times. He was the glue of the family, and his loss leaves an immense void, but also a legacy of love that will last for generations.
He is survived by his wife and partner, María del Carmen Sánchez; his daughters: Adriana Sánchez, Janeth Sánchez (husband Cristofer Lemus), and Erika Delgado (husband Eduardo Delgado); his grandchildren: Anthony Sánchez (wife Elizabeth Gibson), Brianna Sánchez, Alfredo Pinto, Marlene Sánchez, Mía Delgado, Mateo Delgado, and Valeria Sánchez; and his great-grandson, Adrián Barahona.
He also leaves behind his beloved siblings: Francisco Sánchez, Virginia Sánchez, and Felicitas Murillo, who today mourn his passing with the family.
