Reginia "Ginia" Lewis
Reginia “Ginia” Lewis of Danville went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 11, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Ginia fought a courageous battle with breast cancer for the last 10 months. Prior to her decline in health, she was a retiree of Danville Social Services where she loved helping people in the community in need.
She was born on August 27, 1965 in Newport News, Virginia to the late Gaynell Hanks Perkins and James Richard Bradley.
She is survived by her husband Bryan Lewis and sons Hunter Lewis and Ethan Lewis. She is also survived by her loving stepfather Johnny Perkins and wife Joan.
In addition, Ginia is survived by her sister Serena Perkins and her nieces Brandie Hawker (Kevin), Chelsey Kice (Peter), Angel Perkins, Jailynn Jones, and nephews Derrick Wyatt and James Bradley. She also loved 4 great nieces and nephews.
Ginia was predeceased by her sister Cindy Soyars (Aubrey) and brother Randy Bradley (Jean).
She had a love for animals and nature, especially her special companions Boots, Bella, and Molly. Ginia also enjoyed spending time at the beach and the mountains. Her greatest pleasure was being a wife and mother. Her boys were the light of her life.
The family would like to thank the Oncology Team at Sentara Halifax for their unwavering care and compassion throughout her fight. A special thank you to her lifelong friend, Kim Roberts, who was a constant support during her battle with cancer.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 11:00 am at Norris Funeral Servies Mt Hermon Chapel, 3995 Franklin Turnpike Danville, Virginia with the Pastor Myron Bruce officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Pentecostal Holiness Church building fund (1810 North Main Street Danville VA 24540) and Danville-Pittsylvania Cancer Association (223 Riverview Dr Suite J Danville VA 24541).
The Lewis family is receiving friends and family at the residence, 1712 Buckhorn Drive Danville.
