Retha Ann Garris Wilson

Retha Ann Garris Wilson, 73, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024. She was born December 28, 1950, in Surry County, North Carolina, to the late Eugene Wesley Garris and Annie Ruth Brooks Garris.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Wayne Wilson and brother, Ronnie Gene Garris.She was a dedicated employee of Henry County Plywood working with the Splicer Machine. Ann loved spending time with her family recording video memories of her family. She loved all kinds of animals and her cat Socks. She absolutely loved talking on the phone and sending texts and emojis through Facebook. Ann enjoyed shopping and watching television, especially with her sister.Ann is survived by her daughter, Crystal Ann Spillman; son, Edward Wayne Wilson; sister, Verna Mae Wall; and grandchildren, Cole Wilson, Makayla Wilson, Riley Spillman, and Jacob Wilson; several nieces and nephews.The funeral will be held Monday, April 1, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Kenneth McFarling officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
