Rhonda Jane Lawson

Rhonda Jane Lawson, 69, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024. She was born August 7, 1955, in Eden North Carolina, to the late Walter “Bunk” Shelton and Emma Jane Hill Shelton.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Lawson; son, Anthony Eric Shelton; brothers, Robin Shelton, Kevin Shelton, Perry Shelton, and Johnny Shelton.Rhonda attended Christian View Pentecostal Holliness Church and was employed by Unifi as a machine operator. She was such a strong lady in her faith and character. In her free time, you could find her thrifting for collectables, visiting the beach and having picnics with family in the mountains. She truly loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer “Joy” Frazier, Susan Shelton (Chris); sisters, Becky Watkins, Paula Shelton, and Pam Plummer; brother, Chris Shelton; Grandchildren, Corey Chandler (Chelsea), Alex Frazier, Racheal Shelton (Brandon), Kaylyn Frazier (Dre), Bethany Shelton (Logan), Dustin Riggins (Charity), and Michael Wooten; great-grandchildren, Cora Grace Custer, Wesley Riggins, and Rylee Navaeh Scales.A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 2, at 11:00 AM, at Roselawn Burial Park with Darrell Amos officiating.
