Rhonda Lynn Paty

Rhonda Lynn Paty (Patterson), 68, of Salem, VA formerly of Phoenix, AZ. God called her home on Friday, April 28, 2023. She was born on September 20, 1954, to the late Johnnie James and Betty Jane Patterson in Enid, OK. Rhonda was founded in her faith and was a life-long member of the Southern Baptist Convention. While not only attending her beloved church, she also taught Sunday school. She had many jobs throughout her lifetime, such as her role as a medical office assistant and an operating room scheduler for St. Joseph’s Hospital. However, her passion became caring for children as a reading tutor and teaching aide, she even became a book PALS volunteer because she believed in the mission the program undertook! Her favorite hobby stemmed from her skill as an expert seamstress as she enjoyed quilting. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Herb and Nellie Mae Allen; and paternal grandmother, Ada Ray Patterson; sisters, Glenda Irene Kloepper, and Polly Diann Charles.
Left to cherish her memory include her husband James W. Paty, Jr.; daughter, Denise Dannielle Hanson (Michael Stone); grandchildren, Kurt William Hanson, Sean Michael Hanson, Alyssa Stone, and Paul Stone; sisters, Karen Triplett, Donna Zuniga, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
