Richard Alan Butler
Mr. Richard A. Butler, age 69, of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at his home. He was born in Roaring Springs, Pennsylvania on January 28, 1955, to the late Regis Edward Butler and Ida Claar Butler. Dad was a humble, giving, and loving man who at times could be an ornery cuss. (Don’t worry, he always laughed at that). Dad was a hardworking man who loved to tinker. He was an animal lover, especially when it came to his dogs, Rootbeer, Lucky and Butch. Dad’s favorite thing was to farm and pick strawberries. That was when he was at his happiest.
Mr. Butler is survived by his daughters, Audrey “Cissy” Butler and Robin Garlock, both of Stuart; his grandchildren, Lilieann Butler, Amber (Lance) Butler-Hagwood, Rosalie (Gary) Butler-Biggs, Parthenia (Tyler) Hall and Dustin Garlock; his great-grandchildren, Odyssey, Othello, Olympus and Oasis Hagwood, Rhyan “Little Rose” and Jocelyn Biggs, Zayden, Zaxton and Zyler Hall; brothers and sisters, Susan Saylor of Stoneville, North Carolina, Regina Butler, Regis “Buck” (Kim) Butler, all of Martinsburg, Pennsylvania, Judy (Richard) Saunders of Altoona, Pennsylvania, Kenneth “Bud” (Dorisann) Butler of Martinsburg, Pennsylvania, Pam Decker-Yoder of Meshoppen, Pennsylvania and Kack Watts of Rockville, Maryland; a ton of loved nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Cindy Hinson.
