Richard Allen McQuillan

Richard Allen McQuillan, 76, passed away on August 26, 2025, in Evington, VA. Born on May 20, 1949, Richard was known for his strong and caring nature. He served honorably in the Navy, bringing dedication and strength to his service, which was deeply valued by his fellow sailors.

Richard was an active member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church, where he found great solace and community. His commitment to the church was evident, as he was not only a regular attendee but also supported it through various initiatives.

He is survived by his sisters, Karen and Linda; brothers-in-law, Eric and Paul; stepson, Rich; stepdaughter, Patty; nephews, Pete, Shane, Bill, Rollie, and PJ; grandchildren, Nicole, Lauralynn, AnnMarie, Amanda, Sky, Strom, Emma, and Drake; and great-grandchildren, Maddox, Conner, and Isabella. Richard's presence will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A service to honor Richard's life will be held at 13610 Leesville Rd, Evington, at 2 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pleasant View Baptist Church, 19278 Forest Rd, Lynchburg, in Richard's memory. His legacy of kindness and dedication will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to know him.
