Richard Ball

Earl Richard Ball, of Fieldale, Virginia, died on September 8, 2023, at Danville Sovah Health. He was born on March 19, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Earl Junior Ball and Irene Virginia Keen Ball. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois M. Ball; his sisters, Opal Justice and Anita Davis; and his brother, Junior Rose; father-in-law, Allen Wyatt.

Earl loved spending his time fishing and building model cars, and watching movies, racing, and football with his family.

Earl is survived by his son, Earl Allen Ball and wife Marlaina Marie Ball; daughter, Ann Marie Taylor and husband Eddie; brothers, Carl Ball and wife Robin of Bassett, Virginia, Mike Martin and wife Gail of Lebanon, Virginia, and Bobby Rose of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Addison Wyatt Ball, Andrew Critz; Aaron Critz, Nathan Taylor, and Everett Ryhatt Ball; and a mother-in-law, Francis Wyatt.

The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Bassett Funeral Service chapel where a funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm with Pastor Ronald Peal presiding. Burial will follow immediately at Roselawn Burial Park in Martinsville, Virginia.
