Richard Hayes Manuel

Mr. Richard “Ricky” Hayes Manuel, 77 of Mount Airy, passed away peacefully at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, Thursday November 5, 2026, with his loved ones by his side. Born February 9, 1949, in Rockingham County, to the late Norman and Delora Joyce Manuel and retired from Weyerhaeuser. He proudly served our country in the US Army during Vietnam. Ricky is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Rita Sue Tucker Manuel of the home, daughter and son-in-law, Brooke and Daniel Easter of Mount Airy; grandchildren, Camdyn Easter and Skyler Easter; nieces and nephews, Christy and Nick Slate, Aimee and Keith Stanley, Andy and Jenny Tucker, and Casey and Amanda Tucker; great nephews, Bradyn Slate, Beckett Slate, and Tyler Collins; special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joyce and Garland Bowman; and special friends, Tony and Crystal Atkins. A funeral service will be held at Rock Hill Baptist Church at 12:00pm on Monday, November 9, 2026, with Pastor Dale Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Manuel family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center and family and friends for all the love, care, and support given to Ricky and the family during his illness. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Rock Hill Baptist Church, C/O Judy Key, 3104 Ararat Rd, Ararat, NC 27007. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
