Richard "Ricky" Lee Hartis

Richard “Ricky” Lee Hartis, 76 of Martinsville, VA passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. He was born on August 14, 1948, in Martinsville, VA to the late Billy Winfred Hartis and Mary “Lorene” Overby Hartis. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Via “Becky” Hartis; and his grandparents, John Franklin Hartis, Maude St. Clari Hartis, Gladys Bowling Overby and John Franklin Overby.

Ricky proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a lifelong member of Fieldale United Methodist Church. For over forty years, he owned and operated Hartis Flooring. A true outdoorsman at heart, Ricky loved both fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sara Hartis Roetken (Chris) of Martinsville, VA.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Norris Funeral Services. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Norris Funeral Services with Pastor David Deisher officiating. The burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Roselawn Burial Park.
