RIchard William Harris

Richard William Harris, 78, of Collinsville, Virginia passed away Friday, December 30, 2022, at his home. He was born November 28, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Edward George Harris and Kathryn Ann Lowenstein Harris.

Richard proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era and worked for the United States Postal Service for over thirty- five years. He volunteered as a Paramedic at the Floral Park Fire Department in New York. Richard loved trains and looked forward to receiving his monthly train magazine. He was a Disney World fanatic, loved history, baseball and football, especially the New York Mets and the New York Jets.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sue Carol Harris; and daughters, Rebecca and Patricia.

A private Graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Fieldale/Collinsville Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 760, Collinsville, Virginia 24078, in honor of Richard William Harris.
