Rickey Lee Waller

Rickey Lee Waller, 67, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2024 surrounded by his family and friends. He was born in Danville, VA on October 1, 1956 to the late Ruby Edmunds Pressley and the late Vernon Waller. He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Mrs. Belinda Rowland Waller.

Rickey was of the Christian faith and attended Faith Memorial Baptist Church. He was a member of the Eagle Riders and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge. He also proudly served his country in the US Army. He worked for many years at Owens Brockway previous to his retirement. He was beloved by all who knew him.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by two sons; Randall Waller and wife Kelly and Blake Waller (Leigh) both of Danville, VA; two stepsons; Tyler Moorefield and Jacob Moorefield; a sister; Donna Oakes (Bobby); two brothers; Tommy Waller (Kathy) and James Waller; step sister; Lisa Taylor; seven grandchildren; Malachi Waller, Rylee Waller, Jace Waller, Teagan Waller, Taylor Buckley, Emerie Moorefield, and Brooklyn Hall; a step mother; Thelma Waller; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Rickey was predeceased by step father; Ed Pressley.

A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge, 5731 South Boston Highway, Sutherlin, VA 24594 with Pastor Seth Lackey and Pastor Randall Waller officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00-1:00pm. At other times the family will receive friends at the residence.
