Ricky Allan Query

Ricky “Rick” Allan Query, age 70, of Amherst, Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, at home surrounded by his Long life partner and family.

Rick was born on October 20, 1955, in Green Castle Indiana, to Mary Lois Phillips and Billy Lee Query.

Rick loved life and his family. He loved being out on the water fishing, boating, and riding Jet Skis. He loved football, especially football Sundays. He was a retired roofer of more than 35 years.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, Billy Lee Query; his brothers, Kevin Ray Query, Randall Lee Query , Richard Keith Query, and Billy Wayne Query; and his Uncle Jim (Big Dog) and other beloved aunts and uncles.

Rick is survived by his mother, Mary Lois Phillips Query; his sisters, Melissa May (Ruth Ian) and Michelle Smith (Melissa); his Long life partner, Jackie Lee Bowling Query; his children, Heath Query (Shelley), Ricky Query (Erica Mallon), and Stephanie Martin (Danny); his grandchildren, Trevor Query, Quelinda Hallam, Breanna Wilson, Joshua Query, Tristan Musick, Aiden Query, Alaina Query, Colton Query, Lindsey Martin, and Hannah Martin; his great-grandchildren, Annaleigh Hallam and Maia and Christian Musick; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Celebration of life will be at a later date. Norris Funeral Services - Driskill Chapel is serving the family.
